The fastest one I've ever received.

Soon after breakfast and my daily 11am phone call to my parents, I started singing.

Zerbinetta's aria (1912 version) is my most recently learned aria, and I decided to warm up with it. I sang for probably 15 minutes and before my 12pm alarm reminded me it was time to report my first temperature of the day.

In the group WeChat, at 11:57am, my neighbor in 1802 posted this:

Roughly translated, it says: "Um... 180x residents, at mealtime, please lower the volume of vocal music, the old hotel partition wall can't stop this sound."

Polite, but still chagrining. I had, after all, been in the smaller bedroom with the door shut, singing into the window curtains in the corner of the room closest to the rest of my suite, away from my direct neighbor. I guess Strauss isn't for everyone.

Such is the life of an opera singer. Looks like I'll be practicing in the bathroom from now on. I hope the upstairs resident has more tolerance, and that the walls are thicker there.
